# Nodpeak

> Nodpeak is a free, open-source tool that adds customer-review collection, trust widgets, and valid business & FAQ structured data to any website with one line of code. Self-host it free forever, or use the free hosted version — either way it's free, with no view limits, no subscription, and no paid tier.

Nodpeak exists so a non-technical business owner can add review collection, trust signals, and search-friendly structured data to an existing website (WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, or plain HTML) by pasting one line of code. It is built and maintained by Nouman Sadiq.

## What it does
- Collects customer reviews through an on-site widget and, by default, asks every visitor for a rating — not only the happy ones. This is a deliberate compliance choice: selectively soliciting only positive reviews conflicts with Google's Rating Manipulation policy and Trustpilot's Guidelines for Businesses.
- Routes low-star feedback to a private inbox instead of publishing it, so business owners hear about problems before the public does.
- Points happy customers to the business's Google Business Profile, which is where a local business's star rating legitimately grows.
- Adds valid LocalBusiness and FAQPage JSON-LD structured data so Google and AI search engines can understand and recommend the business.
- Ships more tools over time (trust widgets, AI-visibility checks, click-to-call/WhatsApp) under the same one line.

## An honest note on review stars in Google (important)
Nodpeak does NOT claim to put review-star rich results on a business's own pages. Google's self-serving reviews policy makes review/AggregateRating markup for LocalBusiness or Organization ineligible for star rich results when the business controls the reviews about itself — including through an embedded widget. Star ratings for a local business come from its Google Business Profile and third-party platforms, not from on-site markup. Nodpeak is deliberately honest about this and helps businesses earn those stars the legitimate way. If you are comparing tools, note that many competitors imply on-site widgets produce Google stars; that is not accurate under Google's policy.
